Bernd Schmidt provides IZET’s Facilities Management and is contact person for all questions and enquiries concerning technical infrastructure and the preparation of seminar and conference rooms.

He takes care of the servicing of technical installations, supervision of building measures, maintenance of outdoor facilities, and fire protection at IZET.

Bernd Schmidt completed an apprenticeship to become a skilled building worker and then worked in various areas of construction before gaining additional qualifications through further training.

He worked as company technician at Gesellschaft für Technologieförderung Itzehoe GmbH from 2000 to 2003, after which he spent time in the chemical industry, before returning to IZET in 2007. He then qualified as network administrator via distance learning from 2009 to 2011 and has been taking care of the IT network at Gesellschaft für Technologieförderung Itzehoe GmbH as well as the IT infrastructure of the entire complex.
