General Manager of Gesellschaft für Technologieförderung Itzehoe GmbH, Prof. Dr. Ralf Thiericke, is directly responsibility for the economic success and operative results of IZET Innovation Centre Itzehoe.

Prof. Dr. Thiericke served formerly as General Manager at CyBio Screening GmbH, a subsidiary of the stock market listed CyBio AG in Jena. His professional career includes management of a research and development department at Hans-Knöll-Institut for Natural Product Research and at Hoechst AG (now Sano Aventis), a pharmaceutical multinational in Frankfurt/ Main.

Prof. Dr. Thiericke, winner of the research award for technology transfer, has been particularly committed to the cross-state economic development in Central Germany. He was spokesman for the Central German cluster “Bio Technology – Life Science” and is a member of the Economic Advisory Board in Thüringen.

As a networker, Prof. Dr. Thiericke takes an active part in various trade associations, supervisory boards of technology companies and has lectured as Professor of Organic Chemistry at Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena, for more than 10 years.
He has been Honorary Professor at Kiel University since 2009.
